Packing textiles are used for the purpose of containing, safeguarding, and packing industrial, agricultural, and other commodities. These flexible packing solutions, commonly known as Packtech, displace conventional packing materials with light and durable substitutes prepared using synthetic polymers and natural fibers.
Primary materials include polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), jute materials, and cotton materials that are made by the process of extrusion, weaving, or lamination.
Packing textiles is utilized in a safe storage and handling system for bulk commodities such as cement, fertilizers, food grains, chemicals, and textiles.
These are further divided into woven sacks, leno bags, wrapping fabrics, jute hessian/sacks, and flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC). Some of the major products under the packaging category are polyolefin woven sacks, used for cement and grains; FIBC big bags, for carrying bulk chemicals; leno bags, for vegetables and fruits; wrapping fabrics for paper rolls and tires; and jute sacks, for food grains.
